How can I find someone to talk to about engineering or write to a UA academic department?

Start with the engineering academic programs web pages. If you don't see a link to what you're interested in, call Engineering Student Services at (205) 348-1598 or 1-800-ENGR (3647).

What if I don't know what engineering discipline to choose?

At UA's College of Engineering, you'll have plenty of time and resources to find out. You begin coursework at the University in the Freshman Engineering Program, where you'll receive individualized academic advising and opportunities to take a variety of courses while fulfilling University graduation requirements.

Does UA offer orientation sessions?

Freshman students are required to attend Bama Bound, UA's new-student orientation, which includes registration for the first semester's classes, placement testing, fee payment, and seminars on UA policies, procedures, and services. Visit orientation.ua.edu for more information.

What kinds of services are available for students with physical or learning disabilities?
